A Winter in Europe
Last winter I decided to go in search of Europe’s most dramatic and beautiful winter landscapes. From solo-adventuring around Iceland’s south coast, walking on frozen lakes in Switzerland to hiking in the Dolomites, there was no shortage of dramatic landscapes for me to photograph.
Iceland
Iceland in January completely blew me away. The sun rises at 11am and sets at 3pm, and if you’re lucky enough to have a clear sky, the sun casts a golden glow across the landscape for the entirety of the day.
The Alps
3 weeks on the road in Europe led me to the conclusion that the European alps are both majestic & hugely underrated around the world. The combination of frozen lakes, tall peaks and picturesque mountain villages make it a must visit every winter for me.
